Steffie Thibeault graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in sexology from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). She offers sex therapy services for both individuals and couples. She has experience with different people and backgrounds ranging from young adults to seniors. As a sex therapist, she is empowered to assess and treat a variety of issues (e.g., sexual dysfunction, relationship problems, sexual orientation, body image, etc.). She is particularly interested in perinatal sexuality, fear of sexual intimacy or emotional commitment, recurrent love failures, as well as any difficulties related to sexual response (low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, orgasm disorder, vaginism and others).
Her therapeutic approach is personalized and adapts to the problems, experiences and specific needs of the people who consult her. Her role is to help people better establish and understand their relational and sexual difficulties, then to enlighten them on the means they have to overcome them. Ms. Thibeault is an authentic, sensitive and welcoming sex therapist with empathy and openness. Her goal is to offer therapies that provide attentive and unique listening while helping those who consult her to integrate positive changes in their relationship and sexual life. Her diversified therapeutic approaches (humanistic-existential and cognitive-behavioral) offer treatments adapted to the needs of the person by exploring all the thoughts, behaviors and / or emotions that can influence the targeted sexual problem.
Ms. Thibeault is a member of the “Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec (OPSQ)” as well as the “Association des sexologues du Québec.” She has a psychotherapist license given by the “Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ)” and a certification to evaluate sexual difficulties by the OPSQ. She offers her services in French and English.
